Grit and Grace
How did you first learn about B12? What led you to select it as your website builder?
It was actually my husband who told me about B12. Before B12, I had worked with a number of well-known website builders, and even an independent website designer. And in all those attempts, I just couldn’t get a finished product that met the needs of my business. I’m so glad that I finally came to B12 and I’ve never looked back.
How was the experience like at B12?
B12’s AI and team did an amazing job of listening to my needs, and building out a number of design options for me to choose from. I was particularly impressed by the value, considering that what B12 offers is essentially agency-quality support at online website builder prices.
When did you first launch your business’s website, when did you launch your B12 website, and what impact did your B12 website have on your business’s performance?
I first launched my site 7 months ago through a different website builder, and it wasn’t until September of 2018 that I made the switch to B12. The value of the B12 website was there from the very start. I noticed more traffic coming in immediately, which is hugely important for me. I’m a therapist and work with many clients remotely by video conference. Finding new clients for video therapy can be expensive and cumbersome, but B12 helped make this a much easier process, and I’m very thankful for that. Knowing that B12’s tools are constantly optimizing my website for search engines offers me peace of mind. It helps me focus on running my business instead of trying to figure out how to run a website.
What’s one piece of advice you’d offer a business owner looking to launch a new website?
Take your time researching options. It’s a lot of fun to think the brand new website you’re going to get, but it’s important to make sure you find a solution that will truly deliver before diving right in. Every business has a unique set of needs and sometimes it can be difficult even for me as a business owner to identify all of those. B12’s ability to educate me on what I should have, listen to what I want, and bring it all together as one easy website is second to none, and I only wish I had learned of them sooner.
Tell us about your business. What made you start it, when did you start it, and what’s been your biggest achievement to date?
Grit and Grace started back in October 2017 as a part-time business offering video therapy for women in the working world. As a full-time clinician at the Department of Veterans Affairs, I was eager to focus my efforts on working with clients 100% of the time in a way that was most supportive and convenient to them. In May of 2018 I left my job to work full-time on Grit and Grace, working with professional women dealing with self-doubt, anxiety, perfectionism and stress. By offering video therapy, I’m able to work with my clients in a safe, encrypted, private environment, and one where there will not be the worry of running into someone they may know. My clients don’t have to hassle with parking, traffic or an inflexible schedule. Video therapy is new for many but my clients love it and it has helped me support so many. Without an effective website to get the word out about what I do, I would miss out on most of my clients.
