When you’re running a business, you’re not always going to be at your computer when you want to make a change to your website or take a client meeting. With a million things on your plate, you need the flexibility to accomplish tasks throughout the day, no matter where you are. New features and updates from B12 make your life a little easier, whether you need to quickly swap a website image or update your calendar preferences to make a client happy.

Below are a few of the improvements we introduced recently to set up business owners to more conveniently reach clients and sell services.

Launch and edit your website on the fly

Creating a website and keeping it up to date as your business changes is a tall order when you’re doing it yourself. Add in the limitations of only being able to work on it when you’re at your desk and see how quickly it becomes outdated. To make it easier to bring your business online and keep it fresh, B12 websites are now available to launch and edit from your phone.

No matter where you are, you can keep your website current, relevant, and primed for potential clients. You don’t have to wait until you’re back in front of a computer. Whenever there’s time, if that’s between meetings, during lunch, or in the elevator, open the B12 Editor on your mobile device to edit your business hours, add an image, or hide a page, and then preview the changes and publish them. It only takes a couple of minutes to make updates, and your edits go live immediately.

Using the B12 Editor on mobile, your entire site is viewable on your phone. Working on your website on mobile also gives you a better sense of what mobile visitors see when they interact with your business, so you identify improvements for the best possible user experience.

B12’s new mobile capabilities add efficiency to creating and maintaining your online presence, including:

  • Sign up for B12, choose your subscription, and pay
  • See your AI draft, then help experts customize it by sharing details about your business and design preferences
  • Edit text, images, fonts, colors, logos, pop-ups, banners, forms, and more
  • Request expert assistance when you need help with a change
  • Preview changes and publish when you’re ready
  • Update your account settings and subscription any time

Stay tuned, there are many more mobile features to come that help you reach and serve clients on the go. 👀

Let clients schedule convenient video calls

In recent years, everything has gone remote — including meetings. For example, In the legal industry alone, 79% of clients want to work with their lawyer remotely.

To remain competitive in a digital-first world, you need to serve your clients in the way that works best for them. For many, that means offering video conferencing instead of in-person meetings. To help you conveniently connect with prospects and clients, B12 has updated our online scheduling tool with the option for video calls.

If you haven’t already, connect your business calendar to your website’s appointment scheduling, then choose “video call” from the location dropdown when creating a new meeting type. When visitors fill out the appointment form on your website, they’ll receive an invitation email with a link to a Google Meet (for Google Calendar users) or an 8x8 session (for all others).

This scheduling update grants you more control over your appointments, so you serve clients in a way that is convenient for them and offer specific appointment types that support your business goals.

An easy way to keep invoices organized

In case you missed it, we’ve made sharing and syncing invoices a little easier, and, just in time for tax-filing season. Export your invoices in seconds, then send them to your accountant or upload them to QuickBooks. Even if you didn’t use B12’s payments and invoicing this year, this time next year, you’ll be glad you started using it today.

P.S. Humbled to be highlighted as one of America’s best startups!

B12 was recently featured on the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers for the second year in a row. The list was compiled based on evaluation of employer reputation, employee satisfaction, and growth. For B12, none of those things would be possible without our great customers – so thank you for making B12 possible.
